Emotional Regulation for Parents
with Courtney Johannesen
Practical tools for calmer, more connected parenting – and done-for-you resources for the professionals who support them.
Parenting brings deep love and real challenges. If emotional triggers, stress, or patterns from your own upbringing are making it hard to show up the way you want to, you’re not alone.
And if you’re a therapist, counselor, coach, or educator supporting families, you deserve tools that are already built so you can focus on the work that matters.
Two Paths, One Mission
Are You A Parent?
If emotional triggers, stress, or patterns from your own upbringing are making it hard to show up the way you want to, you’re in the right place. I create practical, science-based tools to help you regulate your nervous system, respond instead of react, and build a calmer, more connected experience for you and your children.

Are You A Professional?

Hi, I’m Courtney
I’m a nervous system educator, mindfulness teacher, and parent coach. Over 8,000 people have taken my regulation courses, and I’ve spent years translating the science of nervous system regulation into language that actually lands with real people in real moments.
This work is personal for me. I grew up knowing I didn’t want to repeat the patterns I’d experienced. Understanding my own nervous system first — learning to regulate before I could show up differently for the people I love — changed everything.
It’s why I believe so deeply that when a parent learns to regulate, the whole family feels it.
I work with parents directly through courses and resources. I also create done-for-you tools for the therapists, counselors, coaches, and educators who support families every day — because the professionals closest to families deserve resources that actually work, and they deserve not to burn out building them.
Whether you’re a parent trying to break a cycle or a professional trying to resource the families in your care — you’re in the right place.
